Books related to art and minimalism.

Hey Guys! As I’ve written a blog on Minimalism and how it has been adopted into a lifestyle already. Here is my own list of favorite books which I love to read and which i would recommend you to read.

Don’t worry this will not be a list of picture books with descriptive captions, No, I’m talking about real books. These are some of the most intellectually sound  books, which I found to be pretty fun to read.

  1. The Da vinci code,  Based on the fictional character Robert Langdon who is an expert in symbology, takes us to the art works of Leonardo Da vinci in a new dimension. What’s more? It also is a crime thriller.
  1. Origins, A Book based on Religious Believes, Artificial Intelligence, And Famous Modern Artworks. Including the works of famous Barcelonian Architect of the 20th century, Antoni Gaudi. Origins has captured the essence of the Grey area between Science, Art and Religion where all three coexist.
  1. Life of Pi by Yenn Martel, The books takes you into a world of a culturally rich south indian household and the experience of a Boy whose father owns a zoo and who is dealing with his lives events, where he he is embarrassed of his name and manages to get into an adventure of a lifetime. Yes the tiger does come.
  1. Inferno, another addition of Author Dan Brown into the list making it his third. This book is a must read for all those who enjoy Conspiracy theories and Thrillers. With a vivid reference to Dante Allegeri, this book makes it a read worth the while;.

A Celtic Lore, Melancholy At Its Best

Originated from western Europe, Celtic is a form of folk music. It links back to the Gaelic society. Over the centuries, The music has been played in Medieval Inns, Celebrations and Feasts.

The music is primarily composed by using instruments like Fiddle, Harp, Flutes and Uillieann pipes.

Why is celtic Music special?

Wolf and the Moon (HDSounDI)

It is a personal matter of choice, the listener gets a wide variety of genres to choose from. The music can be cheerful, melancholic, gloomy, dark or suspenseful based on the instruments used and the notes played.

However, the most famous form of the music is the music itself.

You read correctly, Only music, No singing. Interesting, Isn’t it?

Do you know, the original compositions are still alive after centuries of diaspora. This kind of music has even been played in some of the famous movies. Remember Mr. Tumnus from Narnia, the melody he played along with the delicious beverage had the notes originating from Celtic music.

Narnia Lullaby (Mr. Tumnus)

The famous Lord of the Rings has used celtic form of music in its original score concerning hobbits. Now! I don’t intend to take away the credits from any other music form that may have roused the composer but celtic basically covers everything;

Moonsong ( Adrian Von Ziegler)

What’s more, You can even learn and play the celtic melodies on instruments like guitar, Banjo and Harmonica.

Celtic Music can fit occasions such as the time you are painting some abstract, or when you’ve woken up for a cup of coffee or even while you have decided to sleep with some score in the background.

Japanese Fantasy Celtic music (This is one of my favorite )

An interesting fact about Celtic is that it has even been adapted into Arabic, Scandinavian (Viking), Scottish, Japanese and English forms of music. Meaning it is actually a highly flexible form of music.

Some of the best which I like are mentioned above in images.

JAZZ

Music is known for reducing stress, Stimulating memories and affecting moods. It has diverse forms to choose from. One of such forms is Jazz.

Jazz is essentially a kind of music one would listen to while relaxing on the weekend evening. It fits the ambiance of colored neon lights, cassino or a bar shelf or it could be a sunday morning with a cup of latte in your hand.

The origin of Jazz was New Orleans in 1900. Well jazz is a quite diverse music as it differs according to the people who play it.The jazz elements involved in the composition are Drums, Double Bass, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Clarinet and Piano.

If you’re a guitarist wondering if you’d fit in Jazz, Then yes you would.

A mini Jazz concert

Luckily clean Electric music and/or a mix of nylon acoustic guitar would complement any jazz evening.

Jazz is a form of music that doesn’t need any script or preparation, At least not most of the time. In fact, Its one and only main component is Improvisation which makes it more unique than any other kind of music. World Renowned artists like Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington have emerged from this industry.
